Kalej Rural District
Kalej Rural District (Persian: دهستان كالج)[3] is in the Central District of Nowshahr County, Mazandaran province, Iran.

At the National Census of 2006, its population was 12,427 in 3,362 households.[4] There were 12,786 inhabitants in 3,818 households at the following census of 2011.[5] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 13,727 in 4,435 households. The largest of its 17 villages was Vanush, with 2,669 people.[2]
