Keshar-e Bala

Keshar-e Bala (Persian: كشاربالا, also Romanized as Keshār-e Bālā and Kashār-e Bālā; also known as Kashār-e ‘Olyā, Kashar ‘Olya, and Kishār Bāla)[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Keshar Rural District of the Central District of Khamir County, Hormozgan province, Iran.[4]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 2,032 in 461 households, when it was in Kohurestan Rural District.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 2,316 people in 554 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 2,578 people in 745 households.[2]

After the census, parts of Kohurestan Rural District were separated from the Central District in the establishment of Kohurestan District, which included the newly formed Latidan Rural District. In addition, Keshar Rural District was established in the Central District.[4]
