KoiKoi Nelligan

Koikoi Nelligan (born 2 November 1999)[5] is an American rugby union player. He is a former D1A player[6] and current major league player.[7]

Early life

Nelligan was born in Washington, D.C. and attended the Severn School in Severna Park, Maryland. He majored in Arabic and French at West Point.[8] In addition to playing Rugby, he was the team captain of his school's lacrosse, football, and swimming teams, and MVP of his football and swimming teams. He stated that he "fell in love with [rugby] his freshman year of college. He has said that his father is of Maori origin.[9]

Career

Nelligan played for the Army Black Knights in the 2020 and 2021 seasons,[10] and was voted MVP for his senior year.[11][8][12] He played for the San Diego Legion in 2022,[13] and was subsequently signed by Old Glory DC for the 2023 season.[14]
