Korbal District

Korbal District (Persian: بخش کربال) is in Kharameh County, Fars province, Iran.[3] Its capital is the city of Soltan Shahr (formerly the village of Soltanabad).

At the 2006 National Census, its population (as a part of the former Korbal District of Shiraz County) was 14,232 in 3,499 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 17,053 people in 4,945 households,[5] by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Kharameh County.[3] At the latest census in 2016, the district had 13,754 inhabitants in 4,339 households.[2]
