Langarud-e Sharqi Rural District

Langarud-e Sharqi Rural District (Persian: دهستان لنگارود شرقی) is in the Central District of Abbasabad County, Mazandaran province, Iran. Prior to the formation of the rural district, its constituent villages were in the former Langarud Rural District of the former Abbasabad District of Tonekabon County.[3]

At the National Census of 2011, its population was 8,529 inhabitants in 2,596 households.[4] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 8,943 in 2,954 households. The largest of its 18 villages was Hamzehabad, with 1,740 people.[2]
