  1. The numbering system indicated order of charter. However, in 1922, the Catalogue of the Cornell Chapter renumbers the chapter, excluding the Alpha of Alabama which had gone extinct during the Civil War.
  2. The Alpha chapter at Harvard University and the Iota chapter at Radcliffe College voted to merge as the Alpha-Iota chapter of Massachusetts at Harvard University, effective June 1995.
