Mahabad District
Mahabad District (Persian: بخش مهاباد) is in Ardestan County, Isfahan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Mahabad,[2] whose population at the 2016 National Census was 3,727 people in 1,158 households.[3]

In April of 2023, Garmsir and Hombarat Rural Districts were separated from the Central District in the establishment of the new Mahabad District, with the city of Mahabad as its capital.[2]
