Hombarat Rural District

Hombarat Rural District (Persian: دهستان همبرات)[3] is in Mahabad District of Ardestan County, Isfahan province, Iran.[4]

At the National Census of 2006, its population (as a part of the Central District) was 728 in 285 households.[5] There were 554 inhabitants in 232 households at the following census of 2011.[6] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 830 in 232 households. The largest of its 39 villages was Shirazan, with 127 people.[2]

In April of 2023, Garmsir and Hombarat Rural Districts were separated from the Central District to establish the new Mahabad District, with the city of Mahabad as its capital.[4]
