Mir (clan)
Mir also spelled as Meer (Persian: مير) (derived from the Arabic title Emir 'general, prince') is a Kashmiri clan with ancestral roots from medieval Persia. The clan predominantly lives in Kashmir and with significant population living in Punjab. [1]
