Lines

Obama Station is served by the Obama Line linking Tsuruga in Tsuruga, Fukui with Higashi-Maizuru in Maizuru, Kyoto, and is located 49.5 kilometers from the terminus of the line at Tsuruga.

History

Obama Station opened on 10 November 1918. With the privatization of Japanese National Railways (JNR) on 1 April 1987, the station came under the control of JR West.

In fiscal 2016, the station was used by an average of 969 passengers daily (boarding passengers only).[2]
