Background
After the release of the group's successful albums released in 2022, Pa Que Hablen and Sigan Hablando, the band confirmed that they were working on their next project through their live performances, constantly releasing music and showcasing various previews of new music. Jesús Ortíz Paz of the group had been working on the album in Malibu, California.[3]
The album was released at midnight on October 20, 2023. The album experiments and blends house music, EDM music, and reggaeton with regional Mexican music, in tracks such as "Harley Quinn" (with Marshmello) and "Freaky Freaky" (with Calle 24 and Armenta).[4][5] Ortíz Paz sings in English on the song "Dafuk", which switches the song's genre to drill music, a genre that is different from the album's main genres,[6] which is the first time the group recorded and published a song in the English language.[7]
Two previously released singles were added to the album. "TQM" was released on May 19, 2023 as the lead single for the album and "Sabor Fresa" was released on June 22, 2023, as the second single for the album.[8]
Commercial performance
Pa Las Baby's Y Belikeada debuted on the top 5 on Apple Music in countries such as Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, El Salvador, the United States and Nicaragua; top 20 in Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador y Panama and top 100 in Malta y Spain. It peaked on number 28 on US Albums in iTunes.[9]
