Peykan, Iran

Peykan (Persian: پيكان, also Romanized as Peykān, Pāikān, and Pāyekān)[3] is a village in Jarqavieh Vosta Rural District of the Central District of Jarqavieh County, Isfahan province, Iran.

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 2,583 in 718 households, when it was in the former Jarqavieh Sofla District of Isfahan County.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 2,865 people in 903 households.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 2,760 people in 937 households. It was the largest village in its rural district.[2]

The district was separated from Isfahan County in 2021 in the establishment of Jarqavieh County, with the city of Nikabad as its capital.[6][7]
