The Platinum Collection (álbum de Scorpions)

The Platinum Collection es la segunda caja recopilatoria de la banda alemana de hard rock y heavy metal Scorpions, publicado en 2006 por EMI Music. Contiene tres discos compactos que recorren la historia de la banda desde el disco In Trance de 1975 hasta el álbum Unbreakable de 2004. Además de las canciones de estudio de distintos discos, contiene una nueva versión de la canción «When you Came Into my Life» y un remix de la canción «Remember the Good Times».[1]

Como ya se mencionó, es la segunda caja recopilatoria de la banda tras Box of Scorpions de 2004, publicado bajo el sello Hip-O Records. A diferencia de este último, el Platinum Collection no recorre toda la discografía del grupo, dejando a fuera sus dos primeros discos; Fly to the Rainbow y Lonesome Crow, de 1974 y 1972 respectivamente. A pesar de ello, recibió una recepción comercial mayor ingresando en las listas de música, principalmente de países europeos[2]

Los discos están ordenados de la siguiente manera:

  • Disco 1: 1975 a 1982
  • Disco 2: 1982 a 1993
  • Disco 3: 1996 a 2004
