Acanthopagrus arabicus Iwatsuki, 2013

  • Holotype: MUFS 33840.
  • Paratypes: MUFS 19109, 19115, 19123–19124, 27226, 25800–25805, 33839.

Type locality: western coast of Qatar (collected from Qatar Central Fish Market, Qatar City).

Etymology: The species is named for the type locality, the Arabian Sea including The Gulf.
