Holotype: FMNH 100113 (former EHT-HMS No. 17146), collected by Radclyffe Roberts on 10 July 1938.

Type locality: “near Galeana, N[uevo]. L[eón]., [Mexico,] 7,000 ft. elevation”; rendered as 15 mi. west of Galeana, Nuevo León, Mexico.
