Caninemys tridentata Meylan, Gaffney & Campos, 2009
- Holotype: DNPM-MCT 1496-R, a nearly complete skull (figs. 1–4) collected by L.I. Price in 1962.
- Type locality: Locality 28 of L.I. Price, Volta de Pedra Pintada, upper Rio Juruá, Acre, Brazil
- Etymology: Named for the bulldog appearance of the skull and the large maxillary processes in the position of mammalian canines.
