Careproctus karaensis Chernova, 2015

Type locality: Kara Sea, Novaya Zembla Depression pelagically, 74°12.9'N, 62°46.8'E to 74°10.6'N, 62°45.8'E, 0-30 meters over bottom depth of 190 meters.

Etymology: The name karaensis is derived from the name of the Kara Sea, which was done after the River Kara entering the water body.
