Type locality: "Departamento de Santander, vertiente occidental de la Cordillera Oriental, Municipio de Charalá, Virolí (= Inspecció de Policía de Cañaverales), cabaceras del Río Luisito, 6° 13´ latitud N. 73° 05´ W. de Greenwich, 1750 m.s.n.m."
