Name

Chiloglanis bifurcus Jubb & Le Roux, 1969

Holotype: AMG P996. Paratypes: AMG P997 (6), 1365 (3).

Type locality: Montrose farm, Crocodile River, Incomati River system, Nelspruit District, South Africa (22°57'00.0"S 29°28'00.1"E).

Etymology: The specific name bifurcus, from the Latin bi- (= two), and furca (= fork) refers to the shape of the caudal fin which is forked with large lobes.
