Holotype: BPBM 22595. [Paratypes: AMS I.18093-002 (1); BMNH 1975.12.11.9-11 (3); BPBM 15048 (2), 22596 (9); CAS 44371 (1); MNHN 1979-0434 (1); USNM 211300 (1); WAM P.24952-001 (1)].
Type locality: Southeastern side of Bulari Pass, south of Nouméa, New Caledonia, depth 30 meters.
