Coprosma petriei Cheeseman, Trans. & Proc. New Zealand Inst. 18: 316 (1885 publ. 1886)

  • Typus: D. Petrie s.n. (lectotypus: AK -AK9124, selected for the 'type' by Oliver 1935: 40 fide Moore & Mason 1974: 140) and T.F. Cheeseman s.n. (syntypus).
  • Type locality: New Zealand. South Island:
    • Petrie: Uplands in the interior of Otago.
      • 'type' sensu Oliver (1935): Cromwell, altitude 700 feet.
    • Cheeseman: mountains near Lake Tekapo, Canterbury, altitude 4,000 feet.
