- Holotype: NHR (formerly MAFR), ♀. [lost fide Andersson (1899: 5) and Gans (1959: 87)]
- Type locality: “Indiis” in error, corrected to “via the Cape ... read as South Africa” by Flower (1933: 818), restricted to “probably near Cape Town” by Mertens (1954: 214).
