- Allotype & Paratypes: California Academy of Sciences 021587, 10 females & 3 males.
- Type locality: Rainwater pools in the arid coastal zone at Academy Bay, Santa Cruz Island, Galapagos Islands, Ecuador (00º30’S – 90º30’W).
- Collector: Jacqueline de Roy in May 11, 1965.
