Type species: Diaphorus flavocinctus Meigen, 1824 (as "D. flavo cinctus Hoff.") [= Dolichopus oculatus Fallén, 1823], by subsequent designation by Westwood (1840: 134).

- Type species: Diaphorus cyanocephalus Meigen, 1824 (with "Brachypus coeruleocephalus" Megerle [nomen nudum] in synonymy), by monotypy.
