Name

Elaphe hodgsonii (Günther, 1860)

  • Lectotype: BMNH 1946.1.6.15, ♀, collected by M.M. Hermann, Adolphe and Robert von Schlagintweit during their scientific mission to India and High Asia, between 1854-1858. [designated by Kramer (1977: 739)]
  • Type locality: “[Tsomoriri,] Ladak, Tibet (15,200 feet above the level of the sea)”.
  • Paralectotypes (2): BMNH 1946.1.6.23-24, ♂ and ♀, from “Nepal”, donated by B.H. Hogsdon, date unknown.
