Lectotype: SMF 14446, ♂. [designated by Mertens (1967: 74)]
Type locality: “Missionsstation Hermannsburg am oberen Finke-Flussen, südlich der Macdonnel-Ranges in Zentralaustralien”.
Paralectotypes: SMF 14447–50 (unsexed adults), and SMF 144451 (juvenile); MCZ 33530.
