Ereunetes Berlese, 1883

Berlese, (1883) erected the genus Ereynetes, which he spelled Ereunetes in the explanation of his two plates (cf Turk & Philipps, 1945: 118).
Replacement name published by Trouessart & Berlese (1921: 4) for Ereynetes.
According to Fain & Camerik (1994: 153), Trouessart & Berlese (1921) assumed that the name Ereynetes was a junior homonym of Ereunetes Illiger, 1911 (Aves).
Ereunetes is also used in the Berlese'collection as reported by Fain (1964).
Synonymyzed with Ereynetes by Fain (1964: 104) and Fain & Camerik (1994: 153).
