Ereynetidae Oudemans, 1931

• Type genus: Ereynetes

Notes

• Family erected by Oudemans (1931: 253) to accommodate Ereynetes and Riccardoella.
• The proposal of Botazzi (1950) [Microereunetidae as replacement name] was rejected by Fain (1964: 110-111).
• The family was divided in 3 subfamilies by Fain (1957: 250–251). This division was confirmed by André & Fain (2000) after cladistic analyses. The 4th subfamily (Riccardoellinae) was added by André & N'Dri (2013: 86).
• According to Zhang et al. (2011), the family comprises 29 genera and 180 species.
• No fossil record according to Dunlop et al. (2020: 77).
