- Holotype: BMNH, DHJPAR0028861, 06-SRNP-17307, ♀, 13.vi.2006, G. Pereira.
- Etymology: This species is named after Bob A. Wharton, in recognition of his contribution to the understanding of ACG Hymenoptera taxonomy.
