- Holotype: BMNH, DHJPAR0028769, 04-SRNP-48716, ♀, 10.ix.2004, H. Ramirez.
- Etymology: This species is named after Ian D. Gauld, in recognition of his contribution to the understanding of ACG Hymenoptera taxonomy.
