Hemibagrus semotus Ng & Kottelat, 2013

  • Holotype: ZRC 46121.
  • Paratypes: FMNH 96272 (1); ZRC 46122 (9), 46789 (1).

Type locality: Borneo, Sabah, Padas River at Tenom.

Etymology: From the Latin adjective semotus (= pushed aside), in reference to the relatively large distance between dorsal and adipose fins.
