Hypselobarbus canarensis (Jerdon, 1849)

  • Neotype: ZSI/SRC F 4003 (= holotype of H. kurali).
    • Neotype designated by Knight et al., 2013

Type locality: Originally: Canara, southern India. [Neotype: Dakshin Kanada].

Etymology: The specific name refers to the type locality of the species, Canara.
