Lectotype: USNM 131739 (formerly SIM 2288), ♀. [designated by Smith & Taylor (1950: 361)]

Type locality: “Matamoras, Tam. [=Tamaulipas]; Brownsville, Tex. [=Texas]”, restricted by lectotype designation to “Brownsville, Cameron County, Texas” by Smith & Taylor (1950: 361).
