Type locality: Costa Rica, San Jose, Cerro de la Muerte, 19 km S 3W Empalme, 2600 m.

Holotype: UWIM. female ♀. VI–VIII.1993. legit P. Hanson.

Etymology: named after Jeffery Alan Eckert.
