Lethrinops macrophthalmus (Boulenger, 1908)

Lectotype: BMNH 1908.10.27.95. [Paralectotypes: (6 + 1 skeleton) BMNH 1908.10.27.96 (1), 1908.10.27.97-98 (2), 1908.10.27.100 (1 skeleton)]. Lectotype designated by Eccles & Lewis, 1979:3.

Type locality: Lake Malawi [Lake Nyasa], southeastern Africa.
