Name

  • Lotilia klausewitzi Shibukawa, Suzuki & Senou, 2012

Holotype: YCM-SSP 9169. Paratypes: AMS I. 19456-084 (1); BMNH 2011.1.11.1 (1); URM-P 3296 (2), 34034 (1), 35997 (1).

Type locality: Japan, Yaeyama Group of Ryukyu Islands, Ishigaki-jima Island, Yonehara.

Etymology: The species is named klausewitzi in honor of W. Klausewitz, who described many Indo-Pacific fishes, including the genus Lotilia.
