Holotype: NMZB -UM 4250, adult ♂, collected by D.G. Broadley and L. Balarin on 23 December 1962.
Type locality: “Lujeri Estate, at the foot of Mlanje Mountain (approx. 2,500 feet), Nyasaland”.
