- Holotype: male of 8.0 mm TBL (NHMUK 2014. 408).
- Type locality: Lesina, Adriatic Sea, Italy (41°54'11"N, 15°26'50"E).
- Etymology: named after Laura Pavesi who originally discovered and collected the new species.
