Palmella Lyngbye, 1819

  • Type species: Lectotype: Palmella hyalina Lyngbye = Aphanocapsa hyalina (Lyngbye) Hansgirg
  • Type designated in Chevallier, F.F. 1836. Flore générale des environs de Paris.

According to Algaebase (2017), the lectotype species is excluded and considered to belong to a genus of Cyanophyceae. If Palmella is considered an accepted genus, then a new lectotype is needed.
