- Syntypes: BMNH (5 specimens), MCZ 3790.
- Type locality: “Kuatun, a village about 270 miles from Foochow, in the mountains at the North-west of the Province of Fokien [= Fujian], at an altitude of 3000 to 4000 feet or more”, China.
