Type locality: India, Mizoram, Saiha District, Ka-ao River near New Serkawr village, Kaladan drainage, 22°21'10"N, 92°57'49"E , 199 m a.s.l.
Etymology: The specific name is derived from Latin expletus (= complete) and foris (= opening), referring to the complete lateral line.
