  • Type locality: Bay of Plenty, Ranfurly Bank, North Island, New Zealand (37º33.2'S; 178º50.3'E). Holotype (Fig. 35a): A.N. Baker; 17 January 1979; dredged from 71-76 m depth. WELT A010403a. Isotypes: WELT A010403b-A10403h.
  • named for Nancy Adams, New Zealand botanist, botanical artist, and phycologist.
