Name

Phylloicus elektoros Prather, 2003

Type locality: Venezuela, Amazonas, Cerro de la Neblina, Basecamp, in rainforest, 00º51'N, 66º10'W, 140 m.

Holotype: NMNH. male. 19.II.1985. Spangler, Faitoute & Steiner.

Etymology

"Elektoros", from the Greek, meaning the beaming sun, referring to the sunburst-like pattern of the forewings.
