- Holotype: MHNSM 19555, adult ♂, collected by C. Koch and P.J. Venegas on 10 July 2005.
- Type locality: “Quebrada Honda in the vicinity of Balsas (06°49’S, 78°00’W, approximately 900-1000 m above sea level), Provincia de Chachapoyas, Departamento de Amazonas, Peru”.
