Holotype: ZISP 4866, ♂, from Troglodytes troglodytes (Linnaeus, 1758) (Troglodytidae); 24 September 1979, coll. S.V. Mironov.
Type locality: Russia, Kaliningrad Province, Rybachy, N 55°05′, E 20°44′.
Etymology: The specific epithet is formed from mikrós (Gr., small) and P. stylifer to indicate its smaller size in relation to the latter species.
