- Type locality: “Banauan, Agusan Province, Mindanao”, redesigned by neotype designation to “Malagos public water reservoir compound and Philippine Eagle Research and Nature Center (7º11.136' N; 125º25.845' E), Barangay Malagos (Fig. 2), Baguio District, Municipality of Calinan, Davao City Province, Mindanao, Philippines” by Brown, Ferner & Diesmos (1997: 361).
