Name
Holotype: AMNH 109203, adult ♀, skin and skull.
Type locality: “Pulau Peleng” (1º231S, 123º14'E), the largest of the islands in Kepulauan Banggai, is separated from mainland Sulawesi by the deepwater Selat Peleng, Indonesia.
