- Holotype: ZSM 29924.
- Paratypes: AMNH 233728 (2, ex ZSM 29928); ANSP 188864 (2, ex ZSM 29928); MRAC 2004-04-P-1-2 (2, ex ZSM 29928); ZSM 29925 (11), 29926 (10), 29927 (5), 29928 (34 now 28).
Type locality: Lake Ejagham, Cross River basin, Manyu Subdivision, 5°45'N, 8°59'E , South-west Province, Cameroon.
Etymology: Named for Mrs. Barbara Knauer, former technician at the Max-Planck-Institut (Seewiesen), who substantially supported UKS as a technician and friend during his PhD studies.
