- Type locality: Northeastern Brazil: Sergipe State, off Pirambu (10º 45’ 36" S, 36º 36’ 08" W), 20 m depth.
- Holotype: leg. Cosme Assis and Damião Assis; 2003-07; MNRJ 17621.
- Paratype: UFPEPOR 1627 (same data from holotype).
