- Holotype: ZSM 40079.
- Paratypes: ZSM 40080 (17).
Type locality: Lake Ejagham, Cross River basin, Manyu Subdivision, 5°45'N, 8°59'E , South-west Province, Cameroon.
Etymology: The species name nigrans, is a Latin adjective, meaning dark(ly) coloured.
